Welcome to The Country Garden Guest Farm/Beecatcher Guest Farm in Ladismith, Klein Karoo, Route 62, Western Cape!... we love our farm and hope you will too!! We offer four fully equipped cottages for self-catering.

Your hosts, the Tuffin Family, will see to your comforts and the children are always eager to take guests on walks around the farm and to meet our animals - sheep, rabbits, chickens, goats and ducks. Wake up to the chirping of birds and in the evenings enjoy the real Karoo sunsets and beautiful night skies with millions of stars.

Just 19kms off the R62 on the road to Laingsburg in the Western Cape, you will find The Country Garden Guest Farm, at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountain range. From Ladismith it is a very scenic 23km drive through fertile valleys of vineyards and orchards.  We offer four Cottages and the Manor House, and can sleep up to 22 guests on a self-catering option.

The Manor House

The Manor House is a beautiful Cape Dutch styled house with yellowwood floors and very thick walls and high ceilings. Take a step back in time. Four bedrooms that can sleep 8 or more guests. Large lounge / dining room. Huge bathroom with shower, Victorian bath and chain toilet and extra bathroom in adjoining building. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, electric stove and oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. Braai facilities in garden. Beautiful views of mountains and hills.  Rate:  R3000 per night - whole house.

Lavender Cottage

This cosy cottage has a queen bed and can sleep 2 in an open plan style with en-suite bathroom with a bath and hand-shower and toilet. It has a fully equipped kitchen with bar fridge, microwave, two-plate gas stove, kettle and toaster. Covered stoep with lovely views over farm and of mountains. There are braai facilities in the garden. Beautiful mountain view.

Sunflower Cottage

Has three twin bedrooms and can sleep 6 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, two-plate gas stove, kettle, toaster and large fireplace. A bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet as well as a separate toilet are in the cottage. Covered stoep and outside braai facility. Lovely views of the mountains and Towerkop. All linen and towels are provided.

Blue Gum Cottage

There are two bedrooms - one with queen bed and the other with two 3/4 beds which can sleep 4 people. There is a bathroom with bath and a separate toilet. Fully equipped kitchen with bar fridge, microwave, two-plate gas stove, kettle, toaster and fireplace. Lovely covered stoep with views over the farm. Situated privately under giant Blue Gum trees. This cottage has a fence and gate around it so is ideal for visitors with small well-behaved dogs. (fees apply and management approval required)

Aloe Cottage

This open plan log cabin is privately situated with a double bed, en-suite shower/toilet and is perfect for two people. It has a fully equipped kitchen with bar fridge, microwave, two-plate electric stove, kettle and toaster. Lovely stoep with views over the farm and braai facilities. Ideal for honeymooners!

If you are looking for an affordable and relaxing getaway, The Country Garden Farm is the perfect place for you. Situated in the scenic Voorbaat Valley, you will find an informal friendly atmosphere in a beautiful private setting - a world away from the stress of modern living.

• Direct access onto the Klein Swartberg mountains with all its diverse indigenous flora. Cool off in the mineral water dam. Country walks, kloofs to explore, mountain hikes or bring your mountain bike to explore the Voorbaat Valley and Vanzylsdamme.
• The Country Garden Farm is a working farm so you will have the opportunity to interact directly with the animals: sheep, chickens and goats.
